MICROSUCTION TREATMENT
What is microsuction ear cleaning?
Earwax removal by micro-suction is a method employed by medical professionals to eliminate earwax. Prior to initiating the process of removing earwax, an ear wax specialist will examine your ear canal with an otoscope to identify the obstruction.
Alternatively, they might also employ a small camera equipped with a light designed to fit inside the ear canal known as an endoscope.
Throughout the process, the ear wax specialist will utilise a small vacuum to softly apply suction to dislodge and eliminate the wax.
How does microsuction work?
Before you go through a micro-suction treatment, your ear wax specialist will inquire about your past ear issues and your present symptoms. They will also likely inquire about the medications you're taking and any allergies you have.

Micro-suction could be an effective method for removing earwax for many individuals. However, there are certain reasons why it might not be suitable for you.

After documenting your medical history, your ear wax specialist will examine your ear with a small camera or otoscope. In some places, the doctor might have a monitor set up so you can view your ear from the outside.

The actual micro-suction process takes just a few minutes. The ear wax specialist will place a long, thin suction device in your ear to remove the earwax.

You might experience a sensation of suction in your ear and also hear sounds like crackling or squeaking.

After the earwax is removed, your ear wax specialist will either take it out with the suction device or use tweezers to carefully extract it.
